Importance of child right laws in India

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) states that all children are entitled to fundamental rights. Child rights have been defined by the UNCRC as the basic minimum rights that should be guaranteed to every person below the age of 18, irrespective of their colour, gender, race, religion, wealth, social status, etc. The child rights law in India seeks to uphold the same. These fundamental rights include The Right to Survival, The Right to Development, The Right to Protection, and the Right to Participation. The child rights laws in India aims to ensure that young children have the right to a safe and secure childhood. The Right to Survival guarantees each child the right to adequate nutrition and a healthy life. The Right to Development ensures each child the right to proper education, recreation, and care. The Right to Protection is established to protect children from all forms of exploitation, neglect, and abuse. The Right to Participation protects the rights of children to express themselves and to have their own opinions and beliefs.

All over the world, there are millions of children who have their rights violated every day. That’s why child rights law in India has been put into place - to protect the rights of all children.

Underprivileged children are especially vulnerable to various forms of exploitation and harm. They are more exposed to violence and risks. Child rights law in India was established to protect the physical and mental health of every child. Millions of children have their child rights violated every day. These rights include all rights pertaining to the freedom of children, their civil rights, their rights to protection, education and recreational activities. The UNCRC has clearly outlined the fundamental human rights that should be extended to all children and cover all social, political, civil, economic and cultural rights of children. Children deserve the Right to Survival, which includes the right to be born, the right to healthcare, and the right to live with dignity. The right to Protection ensures that they are protected from all sorts of violence, harm, abuse, and neglect. All children should also be protected from physical and sexual abuse. The Right to Participation, which covers the right to freedom of expression, freedom, and information is also a crucial child right. One of the most important child rights law in India is the Right to Development.
